Life-saving Medical Care
Consider a donation of any amount towards our general operating fund that helps meet the on-going needs of the Lamp health center. The Lamp Health Center treats 20,000 patients each year and your gift helps keep life-saving medical care available

Feed a Malnourished Child
A gift of $75 provides a two month regime of fortified peanut butter-based therapeutic food for a child suffering from malnutrition. This includes weekly staff supervision and treatment of related health problems such as worms and opportunistic infection. The prevalence of malnutrition keeps the need for this program very high.

Prenatal Care
A gift of $40 provides a full slate of nine initial tests for pregnant women and a full course of prenatal vitamins to take during the pregnancy. Give in increments of $40 to care for multiple pregnant mothers. This year we saw 30 pregnant women each week and as the clinic grows so does the patient base.

12 Diagnostic Lab Tests
A gift of $30 provides 12 lab tests for patients in need. These tests are provided to patients free of charge. This gift will help the Lamp health center diagnose a range of conditions and illnesses and ensure the proper treatment protocols. Our in-house government- approved lab performs over 80 different tests for more than 5,000 patients each year.

Pediatric Medication
A gift of $50 helps to cover medication costs for 12 children. During Fall of 2018 we hired our first Pediatrician and launched a dedicated pediatric program. This has increased our need for pediatric medication as our patient base expands. Pediatric meds are often harder and more expensive to procure. Please help us offset medication costs for children in need.

Full Treatment for Every Patient
A gift of $22 covers the cost of full medical treatment for a typical patient. This includes the patient's consultation with the doctor, lab testing, medications and any specialized services such as x-ray, EKG, or nebulizer, as needed. These medical costs are subsidized to ensure the care is accessible. The patient pays only 25 cents for their care.
