Our Staff

The Lamp is committed to a model that recognizes, utilizes, and seeks to amplify the strengths of the country. This is nowhere more evident than in our tremendously dedicated and talented staff. The Lamp is also committed to prioritizing employment for people who live within Cité Soleil itself. Of 19 staff (full and part-time), 7 come from the immediate neighborhood of the Health Center.

Executive Director

Nose Poliard, Executive Director -  Nose Poliard took the helm at Lamp in 2019, bringing a wealth of knowledge in international development, and in management. He has extensive work experience in the arenas of social and community development in Haiti, including working with international partners, as well as experience in working in an environment like Cité Soleil. As a Haitian-born, now U.S. citizen, he brings skillful insight into cultural issues that are crucial to understand in ensuring the success of our programs. Nose has a Master’s degree in Social Work from Temple University.  He is fluent in Haitian Kreyol, French, Spanish and English.  Nose is based in Pennsylvania, U.S.A.

Director of Development

Cheryl Marshall-Petricoff, Director of Development  - Cheryl has an undergraduate degree in Economics and an MBA in Marketing. Cheryl joined Lamp in 2017 bringing nearly 20 years of marketing experience at organizations such as Colgate-Palmolive, L'Oreal, and the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, in addition to experience leading fundraising work in both paid and volunteer capacities. Cheryl is based in New Jersey, U.S.A.
