Dear partners and donors,
I extend my warmest and most respectful greetings.
I am Ruth Allissage, a nurse in charge of nutrition and vaccination. For 20 years, Lamp for Haiti has been much more than an organization to me: it is a calling, a source of hope, and a true family serving my country.
Located in the commune of Cité Soleil, more specifically in the Bois-Neuf area, Lamp for Haiti embodies a light amidst the most challenging realities. Since joining in 2017, I have been deeply moved by the welcome, solidarity, and love that animate this institution. Long before my arrival, it was already supporting our community by fighting childhood malnutrition, supporting children’s education, assisting the most vulnerable, and above all, saving lives.
In Bois-Neuf, Lamp has become a true pillar of hope. Every child saved, every family relieved, testifies to its tangible impact. For me, this experience has been life-changing, both personally and professionally.
To you, dear donors, I express my deepest and most sincere gratitude. Your support is a blessing to our community. Thanks to you, lives are saved and hope continues to grow. Let us continue to shine this light together for a more dignified and humane future in Haiti.
Avec un reconnaissance infinie (With boundless gratitude),
Ruth Allissage
Nurse – Lamp for Haiti
